My Great, Great Grandfather Daniel Keith is buried in Edmonson Co. KY in the Keith-Howard Cemetery located in the Cedar Spring community. His stone marks my earliest introductions to my ancestry. Daniel's father William "Billy" Keith was the first of this line to be born in Kentucky the year 1816. William's father Daniel was born in Floyd County, Virginia from where he moved to Kentucky around 1810.

Veachel and Getrude Keith at the Kyrock Asphalt Plant, Edmonson Co. KY @ 1920-1
This is one of the earliest surviving photos of my grandparents. Three children and expecting a fourth, living in a tent located at Kyrock Asphalt Plant, Edmonson County, KY . Work was scarce for a young family in Edmonson County, Kentucky. Two boarders also lived with them in the tent. This photo was taken in 1920-1 (Est. from birth date of smallest child). Appears to be a hard life with the Great Depression lurking.

KEITH KINFOLKS, by Larry King A STARTING POINT
Keith kinfolks: Descendants of James Keith, Sr., from 1720 to 1979 Hardcover – 1979
by Larry King (Author)
The source of much of the material for Clan Keith of Kentucky, USA, Keith Kinfolks by Larry King. I can remember when Mr. King began contacting family members for information and photos. A source of inspiration and direction to learn more of my ancestry. I am given pause to recollect and be mindful of how such seemingly small things grow into more than we can imagine. One never knows in their journey, what awaits or is missed by the paths we choose. The riches of wisdom are found in the past. Each has a race to run, finish wisely, finish well to God be the glory.
